The Client:

Karli Depanfilis is the brand and web designer behind Flair by KD. She has a modern, boho aesthetic and a keen eye for all things design (especially where soft neutrals are concerned!).

The Challenge:

Karli struggled to articulate her services in a way that made sense, flowed, and wasn’t too wordy. She was also planning a slight rebrand with a more elevated, mature aesthetic to reflect her business’s evolution this year, and—you guessed it—new copy was the missing piece of the puzzle.

The Solution:

I had the best time writing Karli’s home, about, and service pages. She’s a really fun, upbeat person who doesn’t take life too seriously (in the best way). I wanted the copy to reflect the energy she brings to each and every client project she tackles. I incorporated lots of fun subheadlines to give structure to the site, convey info, and add personalty. I also made sure to reinforce the value of strong design for any business in various sections through out the three pages (aka WHY does design matter beyond just looking pretty. Hint: it’s also strategic).

The Result:

Karli loved the copy and the time she saved outsourcing to an expert! She launched her revised website about a month later and feels confident it is speaking to her ideal audience—and working 24/7 for her biz so she doesn’t have to!
