I’ve seen it ALL at this point, friends! Here are five small(ish) tweaks you can make on your website to improve conversions (and sales). Sound good? Let’s dive in:
There are a lot of Haley Smiths out there…what if someone meets you at an event and tries to look you up based on your name, not your brand name? You could be missing out on opportunities based on this tiny tweak.
There are some opportunities and requests that just don’t fit nearly into your inquiry form. Make sure people have a way to contact you via email!
People ALWAYS have objections when they are considering buying from you, especially if you charge thousands for your services. Not stating them out right and overcoming them is hurting your sales prospects. Instead of just saying “Let’s make sure you feel confident with a great logo!” try saying something like “I know, it’s expensive. But the cost of not investing in brand design is even higher, and here’s why…”
Did you to school for this? List it.
Have you served over 100 clients? List it.
Have you won awards? List it.
Have you worked with big name clients? List it.
Have you received certifications? List it.
DO NOT BE OVERLY HUMBLE ON YOUR SITE because you’re scared to come off as ‘bragging.’ People want to know they can trust your expertise.
You don’t need to go into ALL the nitty gritty details of what you do for each project, but you do need to list a high-level explanation of what’s going to happen when someone hits ‘inquire.’ A sales call? Direct booking? Questionnaire? Inquiring is an inherently vulnerable action, so you need to put people at ease through your copy.
