For quite a while, I worked a normal 9-5 while moonlighting as a copywriter in the evenings. As my situation shifted and it became clear that something needed to change, I began to seriously consider going full time with copy. Here are three questions I asked myself to help with peace of mind:

1. Do I have enough savings to get me through slow times?
2. Do I really want to be my own boss (set me schedule, manage my finances, make tough decisions)?
3. Am I okay with other people not understanding what I’m doing?

If you’re considering striking out on your own and your answer to all of these questions is yes, then you might be on the right path.
